The kitchen facilities were quite poor. It is a high price for this

HOSTEL SECTION REVIEW. This review applies to Castle Hostel section only. Thank you for your review. The price of GBP15 per person is, we feel, good value for the hostel, especially in August. However we now understand that you could not find frying pans, sugar, etc in the kitchen. These are available free of charge in the hostel kitchen and can be provided on request if any such items are missing at any time. At peak season, items can unfortunately "disappear" or get used up from time to time!

HOSTEL SECTION REVIEW: This review applies to the Castle Hostel only. Thank you for your review. We fully agree with you about the floor in the room that you stayed in - the floorboards are a little squeaky, and that is something we hope to correct shortly. We have never had any bad comments about the bed in the room, but will certainly investigate the issue further. But we are glad that you liked the hostel generally. Many thanks for taking the time to review the hostel section of our premises.

The weather was a big help! A lovely exciting, dramatic geologically diverse landscape. Great geology, Rocks rock!
Dislikes:
Kitchen is very small and you can't cook more then two meals at a time. Lack of toilets is an acknowledged weakness. Could do with quorn sausages in the vegetarian breakfast.

Hostel Review - Many thanks for your review a Hostel rooms (with shared bathroom) (entirely separate from the Guest House and B&B). We have taken on board your comment about the shower access and have arranged to open up another bathroom in the hostel. Unfortunately there is not much we can do about the road which affects some Hostel rooms. We have installed double-glazing. We do have rooms in the Hostel facing away from the road for lighter sleepers - please request. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

Room was clean and tidy, lacked a bit of storage but for one night it suited us.
Breakfast was served on time and was of good quality.
The establishment is located on the main road through town so is only 5-10 mins walk up to the main part with the bars, restaurants etc Read less

"Great location for Ballycastle and the Giant's Causeway"
We stayed for one night only, but in that time we were able to tour along the coast, see the Giant's Causeway and visit Ballycastle. The B&B was within a short walk of Ballycastle town centre and well location for driving up to the coast. Our room was very cosy and quiet at night, with a good shower and a good selection of books for us to browse. Read less
